What You’ll Be Doing
- Turn Data into Decisions: Extract, clean, transform, and connect large datasets from multiple sources to uncover meaningful insights and support smarter business decisions.
- Analyse Beyond the Surface: Apply advanced Python tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy to explore complex datasets, identify trends, uncover patterns, and solve business problems.
- Automate the Heavy Lifting: Build intelligent, Python powered workflows that automate data manipulation, statistical analysis, and reporting reducing manual effort and improving efficiency.
- Build Data That Moves at Speed: Design and maintain automated data pipelines that deliver reliable, timely, and near real time insights to the business.
- Bring Insights to Life: Create engaging, interactive dashboards and reports in Looker Studio that turn complex data into clear, actionable information for business stakeholders.
- Go Deeper with Visual Analytics: Use Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly to perform exploratory data analysis and create compelling visualisations that reveal what the numbers are really saying.
- Partner Across the Business: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, and other teams to understand business needs, define data requirements, and translate them into effective analytical solutions.
- Build Trust in Every Dataset: Design automated data validation and sanity check frameworks to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and errors before data reaches the BI layer.
- Transform How Data Works: Optimise existing SQL workflows by introducing Python-based ETL/ELT solutions where they can deliver greater flexibility, efficiency, and scalability.
- Champion Data Quality: Drive high standards of data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and governance across the organisation’s analytics processes.
- Tell the Story Behind the Numbers: Translate complex analytical findings into clear business narratives through impactful storytelling, visualisation, and presentations that resonate with senior stakeholders.
- Create Business Impact: Go beyond reporting what happened use data to explain why it happened, what it means, and what should happen next.
- Any other duties assigned.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics or a similar role
- Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries, optimization, data modeling)
- Advanced proficiency in Python for data analytics and automation
- Experience with automated ETL pipelines
- Experience building dashboards using Looker Studio (or similar BI tools)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Exposure to data governance and security best practices
- Data storytelling and visualization
- Attention to detail and data accuracy
- Business acumen and strategic thinking
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives
- Work Type: Hybrid (4 days onsite & 1 day remote)
