We help business owners bring the work behind every sale into one place — from orders, payments and inventory to customers, fulfilment, marketing, analytics and follow-up. Businesses can sell through their storefront, social media, WhatsApp or physical locations while managing their operations from one system. Our goal is simple: Help small businesses sell more, get paid and keep growing. We are building primarily for Nigerian and African businesses that already sell digitally but still manage much of their business manually across different tools, chats and spreadsheets. We are a growing startup, which means everyone on the team is expected to move quickly, take ownership, experiment, learn and contribute directly to growth.

About the Role
Presency is looking for a Growth & User Acquisition Associate whose primary responsibility is simple: Acquire users and consistently hit monthly targets. This is not a role for someone who only understands marketing theory, has completed a digital marketing course, or knows how to use marketing buzzwords. We are looking for someone who understands what leads are, knows how to find potential customers, knows how to reach them, and most importantly, knows how to convert them into active and paying users. You must have a strong understanding of Nigerian small businesses — how they operate, how they sell, where business owners spend their time, what influences their decisions, and how to communicate with them effectively. We are open to whatever acquisition method works. Digital marketing, social media, direct outreach, partnerships, communities, field marketing, referrals, offline marketing, events, market visits or other traditional methods are all welcome. What matters is the result. Your Main Responsibility Your primary responsibility is to bring qualified Nigerian businesses to Presency and convert them into active and paying users. This is a target-driven role, and your performance will be measured primarily by the number and quality of merchants you personally acquire. Responsibilities You will be expected to:
* Generate leads for Presency
* Acquire new Nigerian small business users
* Convert qualified leads into active and paying merchants
* Consistently meet monthly acquisition targets
* Identify where potential Presency users can be found
* Develop and execute online and offline acquisition strategies
* Carry out direct outreach to business owners where necessary
* Build relationships with communities, organisations, business groups and potential acquisition partners
* Test different acquisition channels and identify what works best
* Follow up consistently with leads until they convert
* Track leads from first contact through signup and activation
* Keep accurate records of users personally acquired
* Report weekly and monthly acquisition performance
* Work closely with the wider Presency team to improve acquisition and activation
* Take full ownership of assigned targets
* Continuously improve your approach based on results Monthly Performance Targets During the 3-month probation period, the expected minimum target will be: Month 1: 10 new paying merchants Month 2: 15 new paying merchants Month 3: 15 new paying merchants After successful confirmation, the standard monthly target will be: Minimum: 15 new paying merchants per month Strong performers should be capable of achieving 20 or more paying merchants per month. Targets may be reviewed over time as Presency grows, the product evolves and new acquisition channels become available. What Counts as an Acquired User? A signup alone does not automatically count as a successful acquisition. For commission and core performance measurement, the merchant must be a legitimate business acquired through your efforts and must become a qualifying paying Presency merchant. Presency may also track additional activation metrics such as:
* Completed business setup
* Published storefront
* Products or services added
* First order or transaction
* Continued product usage The goal is not to generate empty accounts. The goal is to bring businesses that genuinely use Presency. Compensation During Probation Base
