Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and competent Mathematics Teacher to teach students at the junior and senior secondary school levels. The successful candidate must have the knowledge and teaching ability to handle Mathematics classes from JSS 1 to SS3.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics effectively to students from JSS 1 to SS3. Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments. Explain mathematical concepts clearly and help students develop problem-solving skills. Assess students' academic performance and provide constructive feedback. Prepare students for internal and external examinations. Maintain classroom discipline and encourage active student participation. Monitor students' academic progress and provide additional support where necessary. Perform other teaching-related duties as assigned by the school management. Qualifications and Requirements A minimum of a first degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a relevant discipline. Must be competent to teach Mathematics at both junior and senior secondary school levels. Strong knowledge of the secondary school Mathematics curriculum. Good communication, classroom management, and instructional skills. Ability to simplify mathematical concepts for students of different academic abilities. Relevant teaching experience will be an added advantage.
