Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria Work Schedule: Fully Onsite Industry: iGaming/Betting Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Risk Analyst to monitor betting activities, assess player behaviour, identify suspicious betting patterns, and mitigate potential financial and operational risks. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of sports betting, odds systems, player behaviour, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor betting activities, odds movements, and wagering patterns to identify unusual or suspicious activities.
- Analyse player behaviour and categorise customers based on betting patterns, activity, and risk levels.
- Identify and investigate bonus abuse, fraudulent activities, multiple accounts, and suspicious transactions.
- Monitor betting markets for unusual patterns that may indicate match manipulation or suspicious betting activity.
- Assess betting risks and provide recommendations to minimise potential financial losses.
- Track betting trends, market movements, and player activities across different sports.
- Prepare risk reports and escalate suspicious cases for further investigation.
- Work closely with the trading, customer support, and compliance teams to manage betting-related risks. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields
- Experience in sports betting, iGaming, risk analysis, or a related role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of betting types, odds formats, sports markets, and betting dynamics.
- Good knowledge of major sports, particularly football, basketball, and tennis.
- Familiarity with player segmentation, customer categorization, and betting behavior analysis.
- Ability to identify bonus abuse, suspicious betting patterns, and potential match manipulation indicators.
- Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools is an advantage.
