SENIOR TELEVISION REPORTER Position: Senior Television Reporter Organisation: Housing TV Africa Department: News and Programmes

JOB SUMMARY Housing TV Africa is seeking a dynamic, creative, experienced and highly professional Senior Television Reporter to join its broadcast team. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, investigating, reporting, producing and presenting compelling television news stories, interviews, documentaries and special reports, with particular focus on housing, real estate, construction, infrastructure, urban development, mortgage finance, property investment and government housing policies. The candidate must demonstrate excellent journalistic instincts, strong communication skills, confidence before the camera and the ability to identify and develop newsworthy stories that inform, educate and engage viewers. The successful candidate will also contribute to strengthening Housing TV Africa's position as a leading specialised television platform for the housing and built-environment sector in Africa. 2.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. News Reporting and Coverage
- Cover breaking news, events, press conferences, exhibitions, conferences and government activities.
- Report on developments in Nigeria's housing and real estate sectors.
- Conduct field investigations and prepare exclusive reports.
- Interview government officials, industry leaders, developers, investors, professionals and other relevant stakeholders.
- Produce accurate, balanced and engaging television news reports.
- Cover major housing, construction and infrastructure projects across Nigeria. B. Programme Production and Presentation
- Research, develop and present television programmes and special reports.
- Conduct studio and outdoor interviews.
- Contribute to the production of documentaries and investigative features.
- Prepare interview questions, programme scripts and story outlines.
- Work with producers, camera operators and editors to deliver quality television content.
- Occasionally serve as an anchor or presenter when required. C. Housing and Real Estate Industry Reporting
- Monitor government housing policies, programmes and interventions.
- Report on housing finance, mortgages, property development and investment opportunities.
- Investigate housing affordability, urbanisation, land administration and housing deficits.
- Track developments in the construction industry, building materials, PropTech and infrastructure.
- Identify emerging industry trends and exclusive stories.
- Develop strong relationships with industry stakeholders and credible news sources. D. Digital and Social Media Reporting
- Generate content for Housing TV Africa's digital platforms.
- Produce short news videos, interviews and reports for YouTube and social media.
- Support digital news distribution and audience engagement.
- Identify trending stories and develop them into television and online content.
- Work with the digital media team to maximise the reach of news reports. E. Editorial Responsibilities
- Pitch relevant and compelling story ideas.
- Verify information and maintain high journalistic standards.
- Meet reporting and production deadlines.
- Maintain professional relationships with news sources.
- Observe the station's editorial policies, ethics and broadcasting standards.
- Protect the credibility and reputation of Housing TV Africa. 3. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Broadcasting or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in television journalism or broadcast reporting.
- Demonstrable experience in television news reporting, interviewing and programme production.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Good understanding of Nigeria's media landscape.
- Knowledge of the housing, real estate and construction industries will be a significant advantage.
- Experience in digital journalism and social media content production is desirable. 4. REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES The ideal candidate must possess: 1.
