Hotel Per Hour is looking for a Partnerships & Growth specialist to own hotel partnerships and user acquisition — Lagos first, then other states in Nigeria. This is not a “send proposals and wait” role.
You are accountable for live listings, completed stays, hotel retention, and demand — not just signed MOUs. You will get hotels live, get guests booking those rooms, keep both sides active, and build a playbook we can take city by city. If you can walk into a hotel in Ikeja or VI, close the GM, and also drive real bookings — this is for you.
What you will do
• Build and work a Lagos hotel pipeline by cluster: Ikeja, VI, Lekki, Airport, Mainland.
• Pitch owners and GMs on turning idle daytime/midweek rooms into extra revenue. They set hours and rates.
• Onboard partners end-to-end: listing live, front-desk briefing, photos, rates, payout trust.
• Keep hotels active. A signed hotel with zero bookings is a failed listing.
• Drive user acquisition: performance, referrals, hotel co-marketing, corporates, transit/airport, content, and field.
• Match supply to demand so guests can actually book near where they need to be.
• Own weekly numbers: live hotels, rooms live, bookings, GMV, fulfilment, activation rate, retention, CAC.
• After Lagos is repeating, take the same system to the next state.
• Work tightly with product and ops on check-in friction, availability, and payouts. Qualifications
• 2–4 years in partnerships, business development, hotel sales, marketplace growth, or travel/hospitality commercial roles.
• Proven record of closing B2B partners and generating demand — not only one side.
• Experience selling to hotel owners, GMs, or revenue managers is a strong advantage.
• Marketplace or two-sided platform experience (travel, mobility, short-let, food, bookings) is a plus.
• Comfortable on the road in Lagos: meetings, walk-ins, follow-up, activation visits.
• Strong closer with a clean pipeline habit. You track leads, next actions, and outcomes.
• Numerically sharp: occupancy logic, contribution, cost per booking, hotel payback.
• Excellent spoken English; ability to sell in person to Nigerian hotel operators.
• Lagos-based. Willing to travel within Nigeria.
• Startup pace. You do the work first; you do not wait for a team. Nice to have
• Existing relationships across Lagos hotels.
• Performance marketing or growth experience (ads, referral, WhatsApp, content).
• Experience launching or expanding a product city by city in Nigeria. How we measure you
• Live partner hotels in Lagos
• % of signed hotels that get a booking within 14 days
• Weekly bookings and completed stays
• Hotel retention after 60–90 days
• Cost per activated hotel and cost per first booking We do not measure “meetings held” or “hotels spoken to.” What this is not
• Not a desk-only marketing role
• Not a long-cycle corporate sales role
• Not a role where you hire a team before you personally close and activate partners
