Ibadan, Oyo State Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary:
₦300,000 – ₦400,000 (Depending on Experience) Our client , a publishing industry is seeking an experienced publishing and educational content professional with a passion for leading high-performing teams and delivering quality educational resources? We are seeking an Educational Content Operations Lead to oversee the planning, development, production, and timely delivery of educational publications while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement publishing strategies aligned with business objectives. Lead the end-to-end educational publishing process from manuscript acquisition to final production. Manage publishing schedules, workflows, project timelines, and performance reporting. Supervise editors, proofreaders, designers, typesetters, authors, and other stakeholders. Ensure all publications meet editorial, academic, curriculum, and quality standards. Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Production, Finance, and Warehouse teams to achieve business goals. Drive continuous process improvement, productivity, and operational efficiency. Prepare regular management reports and monitor departmental KPIs.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in English, Education, Linguistics, Mass Communication, Publishing Studies, Library & Information Science, or a related field. A Master's degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage. 7–10 years of progressive experience in educational publishing, content development, editorial management, or project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of the Nigerian educational curriculum and educational publishing standards. Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple publishing projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with project management or digital publishing tools is an added advantage.
