**ABOUT MINDGRID ACADEMY Mindgrid Academy is the learning arm of Mind Grid Technologies. We run cohort-based and self-paced courses across engineering, data, design, product, telecommunications, business, finance, and several adjacent sectors, and we are expanding our tutor bench for Cohort. READ THIS FIRST — HOW YOU ARE PAID This is a revenue-share engagement, not a salaried position. There is no fixed monthly salary. You earn a percentage of what students actually pay for your teaching:
- Self-paced courses you build and sell in our marketplace, you keep up to 70% of every payment, from your first sale, regardless of your student numbers.
- Cohort teaching on an Academy course, you are paid the rate set in the contract we sign with you.
- One-to-one mentorship, you keep up to 70%, and you set your own rate. No student is charged and no tutor is paid outside a contract both sides have signed. Where a student holds a scholarship, your share is calculated based on what that student actually paid. Earnings accrue to a wallet in your tutor dashboard, itemised per payment, and you withdraw to your own bank account. If a fixed salary is what you need right now, this is not the right role. We would rather make that clear from the beginning. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Build course content in our course builder, study sessions, parts, lessons and assessments, with a one-click scaffold for reading, worksheet, video lecture, quiz and practice assessment.
- Use the student preview to see exactly what your students see.
- Teach a cohort by taking a study session on an Academy course, building its content, and running live classes on a schedule you set yourself.
- Build a self-paced course of your own that sells in our marketplace without you being present.
- Mark assessments and answer students in course discussions.
- Mentor students one-to-one if you choose to.
- Maintain the Academy’s standards: cohort students need a 70% average to be certified, and every certificate we issue carries a code that anyone can verify publicly. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Several years of real, hands-on practice in your subject, you have done the work, not only studied it.
- The ability to explain why something fails, not only how it works. This is what we actually screen for.
- Willingness to complete our tutor training before you teach.
- Reliable internet and the ability to keep a schedule you have committed to.
- A degree is not required. Evidence of the work is. SUBJECTS WE ARE RECRUITING FOR Frontend, Backend, DevOps, Cybersecurity, QA, Product Management, Project Management and AI/ML, plus Prompt Engineering, No-Code and Low-Code, Web3, Mobile, Cloud, Data Engineering, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, IoT and Embedded Systems, Graphic Design and Branding, Video and Motion Graphics, Content and Social Media, Agile Project Management, Business Analysis, Sales and Business Development, Supply Chain and Logistics, Customer Success, Fintech, Digital Assets, Health Tech, Agritech, and Renewable Energy and Solar. If your field is on that list, you are qualified to apply. Many strong candidates count themselves out because they read “academy” as “coding school.” It is not. We are recruiting professionals across multiple industries and disciplines. TRAINING — THIS PART IS NOT OPTIONAL Every tutor completes “Teaching on MindGrid” before taking a single student. The training consists of:
- 7 modules
- 14 lessons
- 16-question exam
- 80% required to pass Knowing a subject and being able to teach it are different skills, and the students are paying. This training ensures our tutors are prepared to deliver a quality learning experience.
