Job description

Responsibilities:

- Assist in developing architectural concepts and design proposals based on project requirements
- Prepare and develop plans, elevations, sections, details, and other architectural drawings
- Translate design concepts into accurate and practical architectural solutions
- Assist with design development from concept stage through construction documentation
- Research materials, finishes, building systems, and design solutions appropriate to projects
- Ensure designs are practical, functional, aesthetically appropriate, and aligned with project requirements
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings and documentation using relevant design software
- Develop working drawings, construction details, schedules, and specifications under supervision
- Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and produced within required timelines
- Support the Senior Architect/Project Architect in coordinating architectural activities throughout the project
- Liaise with engineers, consultants, quantity surveyors, contractors, and other project professionals as required
- Participate in coordination meetings and contribute to discussions relating to design and project delivery
- Participate in site visits to monitor progress and assess work against approved architectural drawings
- Assist in identifying discrepancies between drawings and construction work
- Document site observations and report issues to the supervising architect
- Assist in preparing presentations, design proposals, and project updates for clients
- Participate in client meetings and presentations where required
- Understand and incorporate client feedback into design development
- Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, approvals, and project documentation
- Assist with preparing project reports, schedules, and other documentation as required
- Ensure appropriate document control and version management across project files
- Ensure architectural designs and documentation comply with applicable building regulations, planning requirements, and relevant standards
- Follow established project quality standards and internal procedures
- Identify potential design and documentation issues and raise them promptly
- Ensure drawings and specifications accurately reflect approved design decisions
- Support quality control reviews throughout the design and documentation process
- Keep up to date with architectural design trends, construction materials, technologies, and industry practices
- Research innovative and sustainable design solutions where appropriate

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Master's degree in Architecture is an advantage
- 2–3 years' relevant experience in architectural design and project delivery
- Strong knowledge of architectural design principles and construction processes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant architectural/design software
- Experience with Revit, SketchUp, 3D modelling, or rendering software is an advantage
- Good understanding of architectural drawings, detailing, and construction documentation
- Basic knowledge of building regulations, planning requirements, and construction standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work within deadlines and respond effectively to project requirements

Victoria Island. Remuneration: NGN 500,000
