Saba Energy is looking for a Planning Engineer to own project scheduling and progress control across our rural solar mini-grid and electrification projects, from baseline development in Primavera P6 and MS Project through to site verification and handover. This isn't a desk-only planning role. You'll turn EPC scope into a real critical path, identify delays early, and work with site teams to ensure project plans reflect what's happening on the ground. What You'll Own: — Baseline & working schedules across multiple rural sites (P6 + MS Project) — WBS, activities, milestones, logic & critical path development — Progress tracking, S-curves, dashboards & variance analysis — Delay analysis, recovery plans & EOT/claims support — Daily, weekly & monthly progress reporting — Manpower, equipment & materials planning — Coordination across engineering, procurement, logistics & site teams — Site visits to verify progress and update schedules What You Bring: ✓ 5–7 years’ experience as a Planning/Project Controls Engineer in solar, power, renewable energy or EPC/infrastructure ✓ Strong command of Primavera P6, MS Project & Advanced Excel ✓ Strong understanding of EPC project lifecycle and project controls ✓ Ability to read engineering drawings and BOQs ✓ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ✓ Experience with mini-grid, rural electrification or multi-site projects is an advantage ✓ Willingness to travel to rural project sites across Nigeria Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field. Relevant diploma holders with strong experience may also be considered. PMP or PMI-SP certification is desirable, but not mandatory.
