On-site at the school's office location Job Summary The Subject Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons in their specialist subject area. The teacher will create an engaging, supportive, and interactive online learning environment that enables students to achieve their academic potential. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, effective classroom management, and the ability to use digital teaching tools confidently to deliver engaging virtual lessons from the school's office.

Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching and Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging, structured, and age-appropriate online lessons.
- Teach students in accordance with the school's approved curriculum and academic standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, activities, assignments, and other learning resources.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning abilities, styles, and needs.
- Encourage active participation, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and independent learning.
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive virtual classroom environment.
- Make effective use of technology and digital resources to enhance learning. 2. Assessment and Student Progress
- Set, administer, and mark classwork, homework, projects, tests, and examinations.
- Monitor student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to students.
- Identify students who are struggling academically and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
- Challenge high-performing students through appropriate extension activities.
- Contribute to the preparation of student progress reports and academic reviews. 3. Student Support and Engagement
- Build positive and professional relationships with students.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude toward learning.
- Provide appropriate academic support and guidance.
- Communicate concerns regarding student attendance, behaviour, engagement, or academic performance to the appropriate member of the academic team.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries when communicating with students. 4. Virtual Teaching from the School Office
- Deliver lessons punctually according to the school's timetable and assigned time zone.
- Report to the school's designated office location according to the assigned work schedule and timetable.
- Conduct all online lessons from the school's office using the equipment and facilities provided or approved by the school.
- Use the school's approved virtual classroom, learning management system, and communication platforms effectively.
- Upload or provide learning materials and assignments as required.
- Maintain accurate attendance records for every lesson.
- Ensure online lessons are interactive and appropriately paced.
- Resolve basic technical issues during lessons or report them promptly to the relevant support team. 5. Parent and School Communication
- Communicate professionally with parents and guardians when required.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and student progress discussions.
- Respond to academic enquiries within the school's required timeframe.
- Work collaboratively with Heads of Department, academic leaders, teaching assistants, counsellors, and other members of staff.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, professional development activities, and other school events. 6. Professional Responsibilities
- Follow all school policies, procedures, safeguarding requirements, and professional standards.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school information.
- Keep subject knowledge and teaching practices up to date.
- Participate in continuous professional development.
- Contribute to curriculum development and improvement where required.
- Maintain accurate and timely administrative records.
- Represent the school professionally in all interactions with students, parents, and colleagues. Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in the relevant subject area.
- A recognised teaching qualification is preferred.
- Previous teaching experience in the relevant subject and age group.
- Experience teaching online or in a virtual learning environment is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum.
- Experience with assessment, lesson planning, and student progress tracking. Skills and Competencies The successful candidate should have:

- Participation in professional development. Working Requirements Although lessons are delivered online to students, this is an on-site teaching position. The teacher is required to report to and teach from the school's designated office location. The teacher must:
- Be available to work according to the school's assigned timetable and time zone.
- Maintain punctual attendance at the school office.
- Use the school's designated teaching equipment, internet connection, virtual classroom, and other facilities appropriately.
- Maintain a professional appearance and suitable teaching environment while conducting lessons.
- Follow all office, technology, security, and workplace procedures established by the school. Safeguarding The Subject Teacher is expected to uphold the school's safeguarding and child-protection policies at all times. The teacher must maintain professional boundaries with students and immediately report any safeguarding concerns through the school's established reporting procedures. Overall Purpose of the Role The Subject Teacher plays a key role in delivering the school's academic programme and ensuring that every student receives an engaging, supportive, and high-quality learning experience. The teacher is expected to inspire students, promote academic excellence, monitor their progress, and contribute positively to the wider academic community. Pay: ₦120,000.00 per month Work
