About Poise Poise is a modern Pilates and wellness studio designed around movement, community, and an elevated client experience. We are intentional about every aspect of the Poise experience—from the quality of our classes to the way clients are welcomed, assisted, and cared for throughout their time with us. We are looking for a Senior Front Desk Associate who understands that the front desk is more than a reception point. You will be one of the first people our clients interact with and will play an important role in shaping how they experience Poise.

About the Role
The Senior Front Desk Associate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day front-of-house experience at Poise. This includes welcoming clients, managing bookings and payments, responding to enquiries, supporting class operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the reception area and client-facing spaces remain organised and presentable. The ideal candidate is warm, polished, organised, attentive to detail, and confident dealing with people. You should be able to manage multiple tasks without becoming flustered and understand how to remain professional even when handling difficult or unexpected situations.

Key Responsibilities
Client Experience & Front Desk Operations
- Welcome all clients and guests warmly and professionally.
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients visiting or contacting Poise.
- Check clients in for classes and appointments and ensure bookings are properly recorded.
- Assist new clients with registration, onboarding, forms, and general studio procedures.
- Provide clients with accurate information about Poise's classes, memberships, packages, schedules, policies, and services.
- Direct clients to the appropriate studio, treatment area, or team member.
- Maintain a warm, polished, and welcoming front-desk experience throughout the day.
- Recognise returning clients and provide a personalised experience where appropriate.
- Monitor the reception area and ensure it remains clean, organised, and presentable. Bookings & Studio Management
- Manage bookings, cancellations, rescheduling, waitlists, and client attendance through the booking system.
- Monitor class rosters and identify booking or scheduling issues before they affect the client experience.
- Assist clients with booking classes and resolving basic booking issues.
- Ensure clients are appropriately checked in and that attendance records are accurate.
- Communicate relevant class or schedule changes to clients and instructors.
- Monitor late arrivals and follow Poise's class-entry policies.
- Coordinate with instructors and other team members to ensure classes run smoothly. Payments & Sales
- Process client payments accurately through the approved payment/POS systems.
- Assist clients with purchasing classes, packages, memberships, and other available services.
- Explain available packages and memberships clearly and accurately.
- Identify appropriate opportunities to recommend memberships, packages, or other Poise services without being pushy.
- Follow up on outstanding payments or booking-related issues when required.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and escalate discrepancies promptly. Client Communication
- Respond to client enquiries through phone, WhatsApp, email, and other approved communication channels.
- Provide prompt, clear, and professional responses to questions and requests.
- Handle client complaints or concerns calmly and professionally.
- Resolve issues within your authority and escalate matters appropriately when necessary.
- Maintain professional communication with clients before, during, and after their visit.
- Protect client information and maintain confidentiality at all times. Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain accurate client records and front-desk documentation.
- Monitor front-desk supplies and notify the appropriate person when items need to be replenished.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as required.
- Complete assigned daily checklists and front-desk tasks.
- Report operational issues, maintenance concerns, missing items, or other irregularities promptly.
- Support the Operations Manager and wider Poise team with administrative and operational tasks when required.
- Work closely with instructors, cleaners, aestheticians, and management to ensure smooth studio operations. What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in front desk, reception, customer service, hospitality, fitness, wellness, beauty, or a similar client-facing environment is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills and a genuine interest in creating a positive client experience.
- Confident and professional when interacting with different types of clients.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable using booking, POS, messaging, and other digital systems.
- Able to learn and navigate new software quickly.
- Comfortable handling payments and basic financial records.
- Good problem-solving skills and sound judgement.
- Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult clients or unexpected situations.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Well-groomed and able to maintain a polished, professional appearance.
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a wider team.

- Proactive: You see what needs to be done and take ownership of it. Working Schedule This is a part-time rotational role requiring 3–4 working days per week.
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–8:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM–2:00 PM, on a rotational basis Your specific working days will be assigned according to the studio rota. Compensation ₦180,000 per month. Why Join Poise?
