Job Description:
- We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to fill the role of Education Administrator.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth daily administration of our educational institution.
- The Education Administrator will oversee various departments and units within the organization, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Heads of all Units, ensuring efficient daily operations and reporting to the Administrator.
- Encourage staff participation in relevant seminars, conferences, and workshops to stay updated on global best practices.
- Conduct regular virtual meetings to discuss Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats SWOT analysis for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Association of Universities Professional Administrators for insights and best practices
Departmental Oversight:
- Human Resources Department: Responsible for recruitment, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Appraisal Unit: Develop and review principles for staff performance appraisal.
- Academic Planning Unit: Maintain quality assurance, plan academic calendars, develop curriculum, and analyze statistical data.
- Academic Affairs Unit: Process student admissions, issue academic transcripts and certificates, advise students, and service the Senate/Academic Board.
- Student Affairs Unit: Handle student welfare matters, including disciplinary actions.
- Senate/Academic Board: Oversee academic decisions and appeals.
- Public Relations/Information Unit: Disseminate administrative information and policies to the public.
- Bursary Unit: Manage budget, income, expenditure, payroll, and advances.
- Welfare/Passages: Administer leave matters and passages for offline staff.
- Medical Unit: Provide medical services for offline staff.
- Registry Department: Ensure proper record-keeping and confidentiality of all records.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education Administration, Business Administration, or a related field Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in educational administration, preferably in a university setting.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and policies.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
