ABOUT THE COMPANY

IBEDC formally came into existence on 1st November 2013 as part of the unbundling of the electricity sector. We cover the largest franchise area in Nigeria, made up of –Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Kwara and parts of Niger, Ekiti and Kogi states. To ensure effective and competent management of such a large network, we are organized into five regions, namely Oyo, Ibadan, Osun, Ogun & Kwara regions, the regions are made up of Business Hubs. Each region is manned by a Regional Head.

JOB SUMMARY

Job RequirementsBachelor’s Degrees in Electrical Engineering; A post-graduate qualification in power systems engineering or equivalent will be an added advantageOver 3 years’ Experience as a Dispatch Officer.Technical competencies:Technical knowledge and understanding of the Business Hub networks & infrastructure.Deep understanding of principles and power distribution operations.Good technical knowledge in switching operationGood knowledge of materials used in electrical power systems.Safety and basic standard protectionProficient in the use of computers (MS Office application).Personal safety on the job awareness level.Understanding of electrical distribution Regulations and system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Co-ordinates the operation of all Network Activities in the Region.   Maintains daily operating log on all operations both routine and emergencies.  Receive hourly load readings from the Business Hub and report all operations to the HQ dispatch.Liaise with relevant stakeholders in load coordination.Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.   Perform any other duty as requested by the Network Operations Head and TM.
