Position SummaryPurpose

Applies principles of accounting to analyse financial information and prepare reports by performing the following duties
Functions
ESSENTIAL
· Manage daily operations and activities as well as lead migration efforts of multiple general ledger Accounting tasks/services.
· Ensure all general ledger processes are in accordance with Company Policy and that Internal Controls are in place; audit and review work for accuracy and monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
· Compiles and analyses financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
· Performs analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and writes narrative reports explaining findings.
· Analyses financial information detailing assets, liabilities, capital and other reports to summarise and interpret current and projected company financial positions for other managers.
· Monitors financial transactions to ensure proper handling of information and approves transactions with designated limits and all balance sheet reconciliations.
· Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
· Continually evaluate & update Best Practices/Guidelines and ensure that customers have access to timely instructional & informative materials.
· Analyze and resolve complex or difficult problems presented by subordinates, and escalate appropriately to leadership.
· Facilitate resolution of customer grievances in a timely manner and ensure superior levels of Services commitments are met.
· Assisting Financial Controller with the preparation of financial reports and statuory accountants for legal entities, tax compliance and filling in conjunction with companyâs tax advisors.
Training and Project Management:-
· Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organisations accounting operation.
General

This position will be reporting to Accounting Manager, UK based
Qualifications
¿ Qualified Accountant with minimum 8 to 10 years of work experience as a financial accountant.
¿ Professional qualification like CA, CMA, CPA
¿ Should have understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
¿ Good communication skills.
¿ Sound working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably PeopleSoft),
¿ Internet, Microsoft office windows
Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience in Finance and Accounting department.

Working Conditions
This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
¿ Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
¿ Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place
