MSF is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to perform day-to-day purchasing activities in a supply office, ensuring an optimal running of the mission. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain and 2 years of experience in supply chain-related jobs. Key responsibilities include market analysis, supplier negotiation, and administrative procedures. The role requires a strong understanding of MSF policies and procedures, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills. The ideal candidate will be result-oriented, adaptable, and committed to MSF principles.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis and Supplier Negotiation: Assess local markets, identify suppliers offering the best value for money, and negotiate prices to guarantee the best quality and pricing for MSF goods and commodities.
- Administrative Procedures: Manage administrative and accounting procedures related to purchases, including completing purchase orders, checking delivery notes, and managing advances issued by the Finance Department.
- Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with users to understand needs, communicate with the warehouse team for timely delivery, and fill and archive relevant documentation.
- Compliance with MSF Policies: Source items according to MSF policies and guidelines, honor purchase frame agreements, and communicate with suppliers for timely and correct deliveries.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in supply chain-related jobs.
- Languages: Mission language, local language (Kanuri, Hausa).
- Knowledge: Basic mathematics, intermediate Excel skills, and knowledge of working with ERP Unified.
- Competencies: Result-oriented, adaptable, committed to MSF principles, stress management, service orientation, and teamwork and cooperation.
