Production Clerk

Purpose of Job

  • The Production Clerk is responsible for preparing production materials, receiving, and distributing production materials for productions lines.
  • Also, handling daily production material usage on the production floor, collating data for reports, and inputting the data on the SAP ERP.
  • Functionally reports to: Production Supervisor

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the availability of packaging materials for production use
  • Providing accurate production data and information
  • Keeping proper records of production output, wastages and material reports
  • Calculating the packaging materials for each production line
  • Making requisitions for materials to be used for each production line, and to receive materials from the packaging store
  • Distributing and monitoring of the packaging materials to each production lines
  • Execution and transferring of finished goods to the store
  • Accounting for and returning left over materials to the store

Job Requirements & Person Specifications

  • OND/HND in a related discipline
  • 2+ years of production experience within the FMCG/Manufacturing industry
  • Conversant with the use of SAP
  • Good knowledge of inventory/stock management
  • Good record keeping skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Conversant with MS Office Suite
