**Job Summary:** The Health and Nutrition Program Manager will oversee the implementation of health and nutrition activities in Katsina State, ensuring effective, timely, and qualitative delivery of services while adhering to PUI and donor requirements.

The Health and Nutrition Program Manager will be responsible for managing the implementation of health and nutrition interventions in Mashi and Kurfi LGAs in Katsina State. This includes managing two Primary Health Care centers, implementing routine immunization services, managing medical supplies, and managing referrals to secondary health facilities.

The Health and Nutrition Program Manager will also be responsible for managing a Community Health Workers' network, ensuring the provision of comprehensive health services, and promoting good practices among the community regarding Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) to reduce the prevalence of Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) and Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) in the areas of intervention.

The Health and Nutrition Program Manager will work closely with the State Ministry of Health, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of health and nutrition activities.

The Health and Nutrition Program Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the proper implementation and monitoring of health and nutrition activities
  • Supervising teams running the PHCC, outreach health facilities, nutrition activities team, and Community Outreach Network
  • Ensuring compliance with logistical and administrative procedures
  • Representing the association before partners, authorities, and local actors involved in the implementation of health programs
  • Contributing to the development of new interventions based on identified needs

The Health and Nutrition Program Manager will also be responsible for:

  • Project planning, implementation, and monitoring
  • Information management, assessment, and referral system
  • Capitalization, reporting, and development
  • Team management and capacity building
  • Representation and coordination
  • Logistics and finance
  • Safety and security

The Health and Nutrition Program Manager will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Language skills: Fluency in English and good command of Hausa language
  • Education degree: A relevant Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Institution preferably in Nursing or MBBS from a recognized university with a valid practicing license from Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria
  • Work experience: At least 3 years of experience as a manager in humanitarian projects in the Health and Nutrition sector
  • Good knowledge in Health and Nutrition in emergency context
  • Good reporting skills
  • Knowledge in MEAL process
  • Computer skills: Excellent knowledge of MS office software
