Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Perspective: Participate in strategic decisions about the development and implementation of Interswitch's products, valuing requirements and systems to provide underlying technology to support the organization's IT demands.
  • Break Down Bottlenecks: Identify and break down bottlenecks in all technology implementation of the organization with clear and unambiguous designs.
Operations:
  • Provide IT infrastructure for all applications and IT services.
  • Proactively plan based on the current infrastructure to meet future IT needs.
  • Actively participate in the release of products according to stipulated timelines.
  • Design and select medium complexity storage, data center, network, and client/server environments to design solutions in line with industry best practice.
  • Collect business requirements using a variety of methods such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
  • Oversee data collection mechanisms and how they fit into data architecture, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.
  • Research and suggest technical developments to improve quality of the services deployed.
  • Identify, within the team, instances of non-compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these and escalating issues as appropriate.
Performance Improvement:
  • Participate in monthly business review meetings where the performance of the department is evaluated.
  • Participate in the performance review process, and appraisals.
Requirements:
  • Academic Qualifications: Minimum of bachelor's degree / HND in Computer/System/ Electrical/ Electronic Engineering/ Applied physics/ Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Professional Qualifications: Relevant certification such as ITIL Information Technology Infrastructure Library, CCNP Cisco Certified Network Professional, MCP Microsoft Certified Professional or CCNA Cisco Certified Network Administrator MCTS Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, OCA Oracle Certified Associate, OCP Oracle Certified Professional, OSCA Oracle Solaris Certified Associate, OSCP Oracle Solaris Certified professional, TOGAF The Open Group Architecture Framework.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven 7 years' experience in a similar function. A master's degree will be an added advantage.
