Job Summary:

You will work closely with various departments to gather information, develop compelling proposals, and manage the entire grant application process. Your role is critical in supporting the organization's financial growth and sustainability through successful grant acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

Grant Research:

  • Identify and research potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources.
  • Stay informed about trends in funding and new opportunities relevant to the company's mission and programs.
  • Maintain a database of potential grant opportunities and deadlines.

Proposal Writing:

  • Develop, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals that effectively communicate the company's programs, needs, and objectives.
  • Collaborate with program directors, finance, and other departments to gather necessary information for proposals.
  • Tailor proposals to meet the specific requirements of each grant-making organization.
  • Ensure that all proposals align with the company's goals and adhere to the guidelines set forth by the funding sources.

Budget Development:

  • Work with the finance team to develop accurate and competitive budgets for grant proposals.
  • Ensure that all budgetary requirements of the grant-making organizations are met.
  • Monitor the financial aspects of grants received, ensuring funds are allocated and spent according to the grant agreements.

Grant Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain organized records of all grant applications, proposals, and related correspondence.
  • Prepare and submit grant reports to funders, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements.
  • Track the outcomes and impact of funded projects and report on their success to funders and stakeholders.

Relationship Building:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with grant-making organizations, foundations, and key stakeholders.
  • Represent the company in meetings and communications with potential funders.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to identify funding needs and align them with grant opportunities.

Editing and Proofreading:

  • Review and edit grant proposals and supporting documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Ensure that all materials are free of errors and meet the highest standards of professionalism.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in grant writing, proposal development, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing grants and funding.

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and well-organized proposals.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to identify and evaluate grant opportunities.
