Job Description:

  • Lead the Instrumentation and Control team in resolving issues identified by the planning and efficiency team.
  • Ensure high availability of all Instrumentation and Control equipment and systems in the power plant.
  • Minimize maintenance costs and optimize equipment lifecycle.
  • Supervise maintenance measures in the Instrumentation and Control maintenance unit and ensure quality of maintenance.
  • Ensure availability of spares and infrastructure for maintenance.
  • Minimize response time to Operations unit for handling routine day-to-day problems.
  • Optimize Mean Time between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
  • Plan resource requirements for Instrumentation and Control maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • First Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer Science / Engineering BSc / HND.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience, 2 of which in a supervisory position in the Power Industry.
  • Member of COREN, Post Graduate degree, and other certifications are added advantages.
  • Experience in a Power plant of minimum 20MW capacity.
  • Experience in any other oil and gas process or production facility.

Skills / Knowledge Required:

  • Technical knowledge of all electrical systems.
  • Understanding of equipment working and history.
  • Knowledge of standard operating procedures concerning maintenance of plant instruments and control devices.
  • Good knowledge of calibration of instrument process control devices.
  • Technical troubleshooting and ability to identify root cause of problems to avoid recurrence.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and environmental aspects of power generation.
  • Basic knowledge of Control Systems, knowledge of MK V and VI, Sentinel, and Egatrol is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of modern maintenance management practices and spare inventory management.
  • Knowledge of statutory guidelines related to electrical equipment.
