Job Summary: Supervise Marie Stopes Ladies MSLs in Nigeria, providing clinical, demand creation, and business management support. Train and support private providers, ensuring high-quality family planning services.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Train and support MSLs in clinical, demand creation, and business management.
- Supervise private providers, ensuring high-quality family planning services.
- Manage community mobilizers, assuring client safety and satisfaction.
- Support data reporting, business management skills, and stakeholder engagement.
- Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective training and supervision of assigned providers.
- Train and support providers in MSI Quality Assurance thematic areas.
- Ensure providers maintain high competency levels in counseling, infection prevention, and services provision.
- Manage provider business and delivery of services.
- Ensure MSI NIGERIA data reporting and management procedures are followed.
- Ensure Service delivery points are compliant with MSI Clinical Governance frameworks.
- Training and Supportive Supervision:
- Ensure all assigned providers are on competency level one all year round.
- Conduct supportive supervision, coaching, and mentoring of all trained providers.
- Keep records of supportive supervision checklists and action plans.
- Collate and maintain up-to-date training and competency database.
- Supply Management and Business Capability Support to Providers:
- Ensure zero stock of commodities with all assigned providers.
- Ensure availability of clinical governance guidelines and job aids.
- Facilitate referral and reporting of clinical incidents.
- Ensure infection prevention materials are in place and in use.
- Advocacy, Client Generation for Service and Community Mobilisation Support to MSLs:
- Represent MSI NIGERIA at state level meetings and platforms.
- Support development of excellent relationships between MSLs and community structure.
- Ensure strong links between communication about available services and community mobilization activities.
- Data Reporting and Management:
- Ensure all service data from assigned providers are collected and reported into ORION.
- Validate data reported by providers and sign off before entry into ORION.
- Ensure data reporting tools are available and in use with all assigned providers.
- Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Registered nurse/Midwife or other related areas in medical sciences.
- Familiarity with Nigerian culture, social, and religious identities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Technical Expertise in Long Acting Reversible Contraception LARCs.
- Significant experience of providing competency-based training and certification for providers.
