The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is the state oil corporation which was established on April 1, 1977. In addition to its exploration activities, the Corporation was given powers and operational interests in refining, petrochemicals and products transportation as well as marketing. Between 1978 and 1989, NNPC constructed refineries in Warri, Kaduna and Port Harcourt and took over the 35,000-barrel Shell Refinery established in Port Harcourt in 1965.

In 1988, the NNPC was commercialised into Strategic Business Units, covering the entire spectrum of oil industry operations: exploration and production, gas development, refining, distribution, petrochemicals, engineering, and commercial investments, namely:

Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC)
Integrated Data Services Limited (IDSL)

Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company Limited (KRPC)

JOB SUMMARY

Educational Qualification Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, Business, or related fields A Master's degree is an added advantage Professional qualification and membership of at least one professional body e.g. NGA, NAPE, NSPE, SPE, NSE, COREN, etc.Experience: Minimum of 9 years relevant post qualification experience Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage. Age limit: 37Competence: Advanced Planning & Budgeting skills Advanced Commercial orientation Basic Research Analytics Advanced Portfolio Management knowledge Advanced Market Place Analysis skills Advanced Competitive Knowledge Advanced Business intelligence Advanced Business Performance Analysis skills Mastery of Revenue and Profitability Management skills Basic strategy formulation and implementation skills Ability to use Micro-Soft Excel, Micro-Soft Power point, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project Management. Understanding of Integrated planning and budgeting Understanding of Marketing Principles Working Knowledge of the International Oil and Gas Business Basic Contracting Principles. Understanding of Principles of Oil, Gas, LNG, and NGLs Pricing Ability to develop performance monitoring tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Objectives Carry out Oil & NGLs commercial origination and negotiation activities to ensure optimum value addition in commercial agreements. Carry out Oil & NGLs contract operationalization and ensure profitable marketing of Oil & NGLs Timely realization of sales proceeds and maintenance of adequate transaction documentationKey Duties Prepare Report Status of Liquid Petroleum and NGLs Contracts for DM, Oil & NGLs Commercials. Prepare Report on the Performance of all Offtakers for DM, Oil & NGLs Commercials. Prepare request for the engagement of new Liquid Petroleum and NGLs Offtakers for DM, Oil & NGLs Commercials. Secure all submitted bids at close of the bid exercises. Prepare report of the bid analyses for submission to DM, Oil & NGLs Commercials Attend to all enquiries on Liquid Petroleum and NGLs contract. Maintain data base of all Liquid Petroleum and NGLs Offtakers. Monitor all Liquid Petroleum and NGLs Contracts timeline Provide timely and regular reports on the activities of the Department/Section/Unit to the DM, Oil & NGLs Commercials Ensure the capacity development of direct reports, through coaching and other learning methods, for career growth, optimal productivity and performance Provide regular, formal and informal, feedback on identified gaps of direct reports' performance and recommend appropriate solutions Participate in Liquid Petroleum & NGLs contract development, Contract negotiation, renewal and termination management Effective contract risk management and Relationship management Review commercial
