JOB SUMMARY

Education and Experience A Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or another relevant field years as a maintenance engineer/supervisor. Manufacturing industry experience is an added advantage. Engineer's Association Member.Required Competence: Attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Technical Competence Computer literacy skills. Flexible work hours. Excellent time management skills. Ability to multitask.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Background We seek to hire a qualified and technically competent Maintenance Supervisor for its Aluminium and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant. The Factory, which is based in Mowe [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way], Ogun state will primarily recycle a broad range of scrap materials and convert them to usable Aluminium and Copper Ingots for different manufacturing purposes. The maintenance supervisor should have core technical skills to fit the industry (in other words, know how to maintain physical assets used at their plant). They will supervise the team and maintain complex plant systems and equipment to meet production deadlines and preserve product quality.DutiesThe ideal candidate will (but is not limited to): Prepare maintenance schedules in line with the factory's maintenance goalsand monitor PM compliance. Frequently inspect facilities to proactively detect potential problems and recommend the necessary repair or maintenance. Provide support and advice during recruitmentand ensure the proper onboarding and training process of maintenance team members. Oversee and enforce good record-keeping. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) around maintenance activities. Ensure maintenance procedures and proactive maintenance programs like preventive maintenance. Communicate policies, procedures, and any updates to maintenance staff and the team. Ensure timely job execution, within the budget, and without compromising building users' safety. Work closely with vendors, outsourced service providers, and contractors to protect the interests of the facility. Maintain accurate materials and spare parts inventory. Recommend upgrades, overhauls, and other changes to major systems and equipment. Actively participate in projects (e.g. remodeling or renovation). Help with day-to-day equipment maintenance work when needed. Check that the premises are safe and not in violation of any regulations. Communicate directly with building occupants to resolve service requests.
