  • Security & Compliance:
    • Ensure that all code and systems adhere to regulatory standards, including security best practices and data privacy compliance e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS.
    • Implement security measures to protect sensitive financial data and mitigate risks.
    • Ensure personal information of customers, employees, and other individuals the company conducts business with is processed and protected in line with applicable data privacy policies, privacy laws, and global best practices.
  • Required Competency and Skillset:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in fintech or a highly regulated industry.
    • Strong experience working with backend technologies, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
    • Expertise in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or C++.
    • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB and message brokers e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ.
    • Strong understanding of API design, RESTful services, and event-driven architecture.
    • Experience with fintech applications like payment gateways, trading platforms, or core banking systems.
    • Knowledge of security protocols, encryption, and regulatory requirements e.g., PCI-DSS, SOX compliance.
    • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code e.g., Terraform, Ansible.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • A proactive mindset, with a passion for continuous learning and keeping up with the latest technologies.
