Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Daily routine checks of water pumps, hydrant pumps, water treatment plants, sprinklers, sewage treatment & swimming pool.
  • Periodic maintenance /service of clogged drains, faucets, pipes, and control valves.
  • Prompt response to all plumbing faults, diagnose and resolve plumbing emergencies.
  • Maintain run pumps & heaters; install, repair and carry out general preventative procedures on all plumbing systems.
  • Installation, repair and maintenance of sanitary wares & features, unclog drainpipes and mend defective pipes. Carry out any other duty as requested by the Head of facilities.
  • Periodic backwash of swimming pool, water treatment & sewage treatment; ensuring regular pool water quality, chlorine & PH balance.
  • Respond to swimming pool-related work orders and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment and other maintenance tasks.
  • Install, examine the installed system for any leakages, repair and carry out general preventative procedures on all plumbing systems.
  • Diagnose faults, repair and maintain swimming pools, water systems, filter systems, pumps, and mechanical equipment.
  • Keep records of all plumbing maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record supplied orders, and used kits.
  • Work from different locations, when required.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Plumbing Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in plumbing maintenance and repairs
  • Proven experience in plumbing maintenance and repairs.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to work at different locations and perform ad hoc duties.
