Job Overview:
As a Product Sourcing Intern, you'll contribute to our team by identifying and acquiring quality products. This hands-on experience covers understanding of the products, supply chain management, market research, and vendor relations. This experience will expose you to the intricacies of market research, vendor relations, and the overall dynamics of a competitive business landscape. As a crucial contributor to our team, you'll engage in activities ranging from product understanding to negotiating terms with suppliers – all essential elements of successful procurement.
 
 
Responsibilities: -
 
Market Research:
- Conduct thorough market research to unearth potential suppliers, identify trends, and explore new product opportunities.
- Analyze market data to provide informed recommendations on product selection and optimal sourcing strategies.
 
Supplier Identification and Evaluation:
- Collaborate in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, considering factors such as product quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- Contribute to building and maintaining a comprehensive database of qualified suppliers.
 
Communication and Coordination:
- Establish clear and open communication channels within the team using messaging platforms, project management tools, and regular team meetings.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, particularly procurement, to ensure efficient and timely product sourcing processes.
 
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain meticulous records of product features, specifications, and pricing details.
- Generate insightful reports summarizing key sourcing metrics and performance indicators.
 
Quality Control:
- Play an active role in the quality control process by verifying product samples and specifications against established standards.
- Implement effective quality controls to ensure acquired products meet specified standards and requirements.
 
Learning and Development:
- Actively seek opportunities for learning within the product sourcing industry and supply chain management.
- Engage in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills relevant to the role.
 
 
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Tech, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
