Grant Writer Volunteer

What You Should Know:
You will be responsible for securing the necessary funding to support a startup like FIND. We need someone to apply and keep track of grants. We will provide source material like already written grant proposal and a pitch deck, which still needs more work. We will identify grant funding opportunities and will also consider opportunities the volunteer has identified if any. You will work closely with the co-founders to get more info about the company and assistance with applications.

Your responsibilities:
- Identify grant opportunities in Africa, country-based (Nigeria) or other international philanthropic organizations ensuring alignment with FIND's mission
- Assist in updating already written proposal and pitch deck
- Manage the entire grant application process from start to finish, track progress, follow guidelines and meet deadlines.
- Ensure that all grant proposals get prior approval from the co-founders before submission.

What Is Required Of You:
- At least 2+ years of experience in grant writing with an understanding of complex grant application processes
- Strong communication skills, someone that can keep in touch and has a fast response rate
- Creative thinking is a big plus.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently without supervision and coordinate entire grant application
- Experience in building relationships with potential donors and people who can contribute to fundraising efforts
