The Technical Assistant in the Quality Control (QC) Department supports quality assurance processes by assisting in inspections, testing, and documentation of materials and products. The role ensures compliance with company standards, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices to maintain high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Inspection & Testing

Assist in conducting tests and inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Operate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accurate results.
Record and analyze quality data to identify defects or inconsistencies.

2. Compliance & Standardization

Ensure products meet company specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Assist in implementing quality control protocols and procedures.
Support the audit process by providing required documents and reports.

3. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate test reports, quality logs, and compliance records.
Assist in preparing quality control reports and summaries for management review.
Document non-conformities and deviations from standard specifications.

4. Process Improvement & Troubleshooting

Identify and report quality issues or production defects to senior QC personnel.
Assist in investigating root causes of defects and suggest corrective actions.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.

5. Equipment & Safety Compliance

Ensure all testing instruments and tools are properly calibrated and maintained.
Follow safety guidelines while handling chemicals, machinery, and laboratory equipment.
Report any equipment malfunctions or hazards to the supervisor.

Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Diploma or degree in Quality Control, Engineering, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of quality standards (ISO, GMP, HACCP, etc.) and testing procedures.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and identify trends in product quality.
Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills to detect minor defects.
Communication Skills: Ability to report findings clearly and accurately.
Teamwork: Collaborates effectively with QC officers, production teams, and management.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QC software, and data entry systems.
