Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in Ikeja. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
2. Source and evaluate suppliers, including conducting site visits and assessing supplier performance.
3. Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers.
4. Manage the procurement process, including requisition, tendering, and purchasing.
5. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
6. Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including employees and management.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a similar industry.
3. Professional certification in procurement, such as CIPS or ISM.
4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
5. Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
