Quality Assurance Officer

• Perform quality control testing to ensure food products meet safety standards, nutritional specifications, and taste requirements.
• Implement and maintain quality assurance standards for all procured items.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards across all operational areas.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards or areas for improvement.
• Report and assist with correcting any unsanitary conditions in food preparation and food storage/receiving area.
• Stay updated with industry trends, scientific advancements, and regulatory changes related to food science and technology.
• Develop and implement food safety protocols, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), to maintain compliance with food safety regulations.
• Documenting and reporting product or service quality levels.
• Developing plans to help the organisation manage waste.
• Following up with the appropriate channels when mistakes and errors are found.
• Reviewing and updating health and safety policies and ensuring they are observed.
• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
• Investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health.
• Conducting accident investigations, identifying causes, and recommending corrective actions.
• Developing and maintaining emergency response plans and procedures.
• Liaising with regulatory bodies and ensuring the company meets its statutory obligations.
• Train new and current employees on proper safety practices.
