CCTV Security Expert

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the Security CCTV System efficiently and effectively.
• Thoroughly understand work equipment to enable deletion or archiving of old footage as needed, organizing old footage in an orderly fashion, and switching out videotapes, compact discs, memory cards, hard drives or servers.
• Manage storage, backups, and catalog all footage for easy recalling.
• Monitor video surveillance footage as it is being recorded.
• Focus on observing unusual, suspicious, or questionable activities and make detailed notes.
• Comply with SOPs and Policy while managing the CCTV Control room.
• Be aware of the current threats and challenges of the areas of observation.
• Proficiently manage DVR settings.
• Effectively manage CCTV footage.
• Provide timely video evidence for security management in compliance with SOPs.
• Develop good observation skills, analyze visual information, and react accordingly.
• Escalate incidents according to SOPs when necessary.
• Understand the principles of "Lock Down – Evacuate – Place of Safety" relating to internal protection during a security event.
• Accurately archive evidential footage for legal purposes.
• Troubleshoot system problems and report faults/technical issues for repair/maintenance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from a reputable University.
• Basic CCTV Operators course qualification.
• Valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate required.

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a security manned guarding environment.
• Previous experience using CCTV and radio communication equipment in a professional establishment mandatory.
