We are seeking a reliable and skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Hospitality Recruitment Placement Service (HRPS). The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management skills and be able to maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen.
Responsibilities:- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Properly clean and sanitize all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
- Washing and Storage: Wash and store all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes properly.
- Ingredient Preparation: Assist the Cook with preparing meal ingredients, including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat.
- Floor Maintenance: Sweep and mop the kitchen floors as well as wipe down kitchen walls regularly.
- Supply Management: Assist with unloading delivered food supplies and organizing them correctly.
- Meal Preparation: Promptly transfer meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as per the Cook's instructions. Stir and heat soups and sauces as well as prepare hot beverages.
- Education: Minimum of SSCE qualification.
- Experience: 2 years experience assisting in kitchens.
- Licenses: A valid food handler's license is required.
- Skills: Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations. Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Personality: Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication skills are also essential.
- Accommodation: Candidates must live on the island.
- Meals: One meal per day is provided.
