Clinical Finance Lead

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, recruiting, training, and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures and reporting in compliance with Nigerian accounting standards and healthcare regulations.
We are looking for a strategic thinker who can develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's healthcare objectives and the Nigerian healthcare landscape. The successful candidate will lead the annual budgeting process for all departments and provide regular budget variance analysis, considering the unique challenges of healthcare finance in Nigeria.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing relationships with banks, auditors, and financial institutions in Nigeria. They will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust internal financial controls and risk management systems tailored to the healthcare industry.
This role requires a strong analytical mind to provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making by senior management on issues such as service pricing, capital investments in medical equipment, and expansion plans.
Responsibilities include leading, motivating, and developing the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in healthcare finance management.
The successful candidate will also oversee the accuracy of all accounting ledgers, including general ledger and cashbook transactions, ensuring all ledgers are reconciled and updated monthly.
Other key responsibilities include controlling income, cash flow, and expenditure; managing financial expenditure, including accruals, accounts payable, running costs, staff expenses, administrative costs, VAT & CIT, levies, taxation, and other statutory deductions to government agencies;
researching, identifying, and resolving accounting errors and discrepancies; ensuring the accuracy, completeness, integrity, and reliability of all financial information;
developing, reviewing, and implementing credit control policies; facilitating debt recovery processes;
preparing regular (monthly, quarterly, and year-end) financial reports and statements for management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
Making payment to vendors as and when due;
building and maintaining customers' confidence in company's financial operations;
engaging in recruitment, training, and motivation of staff as required;
ensuring appropriate asset management and recording;
assisting the HR Manager in the development of a policies and procedures manual - finance related policies;
staying informed about the latest developments in the finance industry.
