Financial Analyst

Carrillion Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, with specific expertise in the construction and real estate sectors.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Generate accurate and timely financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Job Costing: Implement and maintain effective job costing systems. Monitor project budgets and provide variance analysis. Track and reconcile construction costs, including materials, labor, and subcontractor expenses.
• Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations. Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits. Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for improvement. Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Real Estate Specific Duties: Manage accounting for property management activities. Track and report on real estate investment performance. Handle accounting for real estate transactions.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification
• Proven experience in accounting, preferably in the construction and/or real estate industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of construction industry-specific accounting software is a plus
• Experience with project management software
• Knowledge of real estate financial analysis
• Understanding of construction contracts and payment terms
