**Job Summary:**

We are looking for a skilled Loan Officer to join our team in Abuja. As a Loan Officer, you will play a crucial role in mobilizing customers for small business loans and generating leads into various markets.

**Key Accountabilities:**

  1. Mobilize customers for small business loans within Abuja and its environs
  2. Develop and implement strategies to generate leads into FMCG markets
  3. Build relationships with key stakeholders, including restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, food vendors, contractors, and suppliers of NGOs
  4. Verify clients' home and shop addresses to ensure compliance with company's guidelines and procedures
  5. Participate in credit committee meetings to review loan applications and make recommendations
  6. Ensure timely recovery of overdue loans while maintaining a cordial relationship with customers
  7. Appraise clients' businesses and assess their ability to service requested loans
  8. Capture essential information about clients, including their names, addresses, images, and business details
  9. Monitor loan disbursements and maintain a healthy portfolio

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. business administration, finance)
  • Proven experience as a loan officer in a financial institution
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Residency in Abuja or environs
