The Role
We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network systems. This includes providing technical support to employees, troubleshooting issues with computers, software, and peripherals, monitoring system performance, and resolving issues to minimize downtime.

In addition, the IT Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and securing our LAN/WAN, internet, and intranet systems, configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls, implementing network security measures to protect data and systems, performing regular data backups, and managing user accounts and permissions to maintain security and access control.

The IT Infrastructure Specialist will also assist in planning and upgrading IT systems to support business growth, evaluating new technologies, and recommending suitable solutions to improve efficiency. They will oversee procurement and inventory of IT hardware and software, install, update, and support business applications and operating systems, train staff on new software, and provide ongoing support as needed.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and 2+ years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar role. You will also need proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and common software applications, hands-on experience with networking tools and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN), knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, and familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Workspace.

You will also need strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, excellent communication skills for explaining technical issues to non-technical staff, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or equivalent
