Job Summary

The Operations Manager will oversee and manage the daily operations of our e-commerce business, ensuring that all processes from inventory management to order fulfillment run smoothly and efficiently. The role requires a strong focus on optimizing operational procedures, enhancing productivity, and maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Daily Operations:
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform, including order processing, inventory management, shipping, and customer service.
    • Ensure smooth operation of the fulfillment process from order placement to delivery.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
    • Maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring products are in stock and ready for timely fulfillment.
    • Coordinate with suppliers, warehouses, and logistics providers to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
    • Implement strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Analyze and refine operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in all operations.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead, train, and develop a high-performing operations team, including warehouse staff, customer service representatives, and logistics coordinators.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Customer Service and Quality Control:
    • Ensure that customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
    • Address and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Budget Management:
    • Manage the operations budget, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
    • Report on operational performance, including key metrics such as order accuracy, fulfillment times, and customer satisfaction.
  • Technology and System Management:
    • Work with IT and development teams to ensure the e-commerce platform is optimized for operational efficiency.
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of technology systems related to inventory, order processing, and shipping.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure that all operations comply with legal regulations and industry standards.
    • Promote a safe working environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage special projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and supporting business growth.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to align operations with overall company strategy.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the e-commerce industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, experience with inventory management systems and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento), ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
