Operations Director

The Operations Manager will oversee and manage the daily operations of our e-commerce business, ensuring that all processes from inventory management to order fulfillment run smoothly and efficiently. The role requires a strong focus on optimizing operational procedures, enhancing productivity, and maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee Daily Operations:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform, including order processing, inventory management, shipping, and customer service.
- Ensure smooth operation of the fulfillment process from order placement to delivery.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring products are in stock and ready for timely fulfillment.
- Coordinate with suppliers, warehouses, and logistics providers to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- Implement strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze and refine operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in all operations.
- Team Management:
- Lead, train, and develop a high-performing operations team, including warehouse staff, customer service representatives, and logistics coordinators.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Customer Service and Quality Control:
- Ensure that customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the operations budget, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Report on operational performance, including key metrics such as order accuracy, fulfillment times, and customer satisfaction.
- Technology and System Management:
- Work with IT and development teams to ensure the e-commerce platform is optimized for operational efficiency.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of technology systems related to inventory, order processing, and shipping.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all operations comply with legal regulations and industry standards.
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage special projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and supporting business growth.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to align operations with overall company strategy.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the e-commerce industry.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, experience with inventory management systems and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento), ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
