We are seeking experienced and compassionate Critical Care Nurses to join our team at Sigma Consulting Group in Enugu. As an ICU Nurse, you will provide high-quality, intensive care to critically ill patients, monitor their conditions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes.

Job Overview

We require a minimum of 3 years' experience in a standard ICU setting, with hands-on experience with ICU equipment and machines, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, etc. A valid practicing nursing license is also essential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive, high-level nursing care to critically ill ICU patients, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures as required.
  • Manage and operate ICU equipment and machines, ensuring their proper use and timely maintenance.
  • Assess patient conditions, respond to medical emergencies, and adjust treatment plans as necessary in collaboration with the medical team.
  • Document patient care activities, including assessments, treatments, and progress reports.
  • Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the ICU, ensuring that infection control procedures are followed rigorously.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure clear understanding of patient conditions and treatment plans.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to make informed decisions quickly. They will also be physically agile and strong to provide patient care and respond to emergencies efficiently. The salary for this position is estimated at $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a standard ICU setting.
  • Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification is desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with ICU equipment and machines.
  • A valid practicing nursing license.
