The Lumos Nigeria team is seeking a highly skilled Junior Finance Officer to support the finance department in managing accounting records, financial transactions, and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Transaction Recording: Record and maintain financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely invoicing and payments to vendors and clients.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in tax computations, filings, and regulatory compliance to minimize risks and maximize benefits.
  • Financial Audits: Participate in financial audits and provide necessary documentation to ensure smooth audit processes.
  • Cost Analysis and Forecasting: Support cost analysis and financial forecasting to enhance decision-making and strategic planning.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • At least 0-1 year of working experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • ICAN certification in progress or completed.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
