About the Role:

The TEES TALENT HUB is seeking a highly skilled Chief Economist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing economic research agendas to inform organizational strategy and decision-making.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of economic data and trends to identify opportunities and risks for the organization.
  • Provide strategic economic guidance and advice to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex economic concepts and research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate economic analysis into organizational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent the organization in external forums, including conferences, seminars, and media interviews.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, industry leaders, and academia.
  • Manage and mentor a team of economists and research analysts.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging economic trends and research methodologies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Economics (Ph.D. or Master's) or a related field.
  • At least 10 - 15 years of experience in economic research and analysis, with a strong track record of publications and presentations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex economic concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and represent the organization externally.
  • Strong knowledge of economic research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with economic modeling and forecasting techniques.
