Civil Engineering Site Supervisor Leader

As a Civil Engineering Site Supervisor Leader at AIM Consultants Ltd, you will oversee the civil engineering aspects of building project sites. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and supervise all civil engineering aspects of construction projects to ensure timely completion, within budget, and compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  2. Review and interpret civil engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to guarantee correct and efficient execution of construction work.
  3. Monitor and inspect construction work to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality controls, and building codes.
  4. Ensure that civil works such as foundations, structural framing, drainage, roadworks, and other relevant civil systems are executed according to the design and regulatory requirements.
  5. Conduct regular site inspections and attend progress meetings to provide updates, resolve issues, and maintain project momentum.
  6. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, and other engineers to address any on-site challenges or changes during construction.
  7. Provide technical expertise and guidance to contractors and the project team regarding civil engineering issues and solutions.
  8. Ensure proper implementation of construction methods and materials, managing site logistics to facilitate an efficient construction process.
  9. Supervise testing and quality control processes for materials used in civil works, including concrete, soil, and aggregates, to ensure they meet required standards.
  10. Review and approve contractor submissions, including method statements, work plans, and quality documentation, to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  11. Maintain detailed records of site activities, inspections, work completed, and variations to document progress accurately.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • COREN and NSE Registered.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on building construction projects and site supervision.
  • Proven experience in supervising civil engineering works on construction projects, particularly in building projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, building codes, construction methods, and safety regulations.
  • Strong understanding of structural design, materials, and site preparation.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, project managers, architects, and other engineers.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues on-site.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and regulations relevant to construction sites.
