Job Overview

As a Geoscientist for Energy Development at Integrated Field Development Consultants, you will play a pivotal role in the exploration and development of oil and gas fields. Your expertise in seismic interpretation, geophysical data analysis, and geological mapping will be crucial in identifying leads and prospects.

Key Responsibilities

• Seismic attribute generation and utilization to optimize reservoir understanding
• Interpretation of geophysical and geological data to identify potential areas of interest
• Collection, quality control, and analysis of geologic and production data from existing wells
• Updating existing maps to provide a comprehensive geologic framework for oil and gas fields
• Integration of geological and geophysical data to generate static reservoir models for input into reservoir simulation and development planning
• Participation in well trajectory design, target location review, and logging requirements
• Preparation of geological well prognoses and applications for submission to regulatory bodies
• Active participation in exploration and development drilling operations
• Evaluation of potential value-adding opportunities within the development acreage
• Pursuit of new ventures in emerging areas, including geophysical studies
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and their application to E&P operations

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrable technical expertise in seismic interpretation, structural and stratigraphic modeling, and integration with reservoir information
• Proficiency in workstation-based software for seismic interpretation, well log correlation, and mapping (G&G applications and databases)
• Familiarity with Petrel software is preferred
• Good understanding of production geology, including fluid, test, and pressure data interpretation
• Basic understanding of wellsite and operations geology
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and self-motivation
