Job Description:

The Aerial Mapping Specialist role at Icon Geo involves operating drones to capture high-quality aerial imagery and spatial data for GIS and mapping projects. This requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in drone operation and maintenance, and the ability to work effectively in the field.

**Key Responsibilities:**
• Operate drones to collect aerial data
• Plan and execute drone missions
• Perform regular maintenance and calibration of drone equipment
• Process and analyze collected data to generate actionable insights
• Collaborate with GIS analysts to integrate drone-captured data into enterprise systems
• Document flight activities and data collection processes

**Qualifications:**
• 3–5 years of professional experience in drone operations
• UAV/drone pilot certification (e.g., FAA Part 107 or equivalent)
• Proficiency in operating various drone platforms and processing data using software such as Pix4D, DJI Terra, or related tools
• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Surveying, or a related field preferred
