Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to our management and staff, ensuring that we remain compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Provide Strategic Legal Guidance: Offer expert advice to senior management on business matters and transactions.
2. Review Contracts and Agreements: Conduct thorough reviews of contracts and agreements, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
3. Ensure Compliance: Verify that the company remains compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
4. Manage Risks: Identify and mitigate legal risks, providing proactive solutions to protect the company's interests.
5. Develop Policies: Create and implement effective legal policies and procedures, aligning with the company's strategic objectives.
6. Conduct Research: Perform in-depth research and analyze complex legal data to inform business decisions.
7. Resolve Disputes: Assist in resolving disputes and litigation, protecting the company's reputation and interests.
8. Liaise with Regulatory Bodies: Communicate with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance and maintaining a positive relationship.
9. Manage Documents: Oversee the management and maintenance of critical legal documents and records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) and professional certification (e.g., BL, LLM).
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Adviser or in a related role.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional certifications like Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) membership.
