Role Overview:

Xpedient Services is seeking a highly skilled and strategic finance professional to join our team as a Chief Financial Strategist. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for driving financial planning, risk management, and compliance across our hospitality operations.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives and global hospitality industry standards.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis to support operational and strategic goals.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team for business growth, cost optimization, and profitability enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and Implement Financial Strategies: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives and global hospitality industry standards.
  • Lead the Annual Budgeting Process: Lead the annual budgeting process, including forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis to support operational and strategic goals.
  • Provide Financial Insights: Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team for business growth, cost optimization, and profitability enhancement.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Oversee Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and management reports.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Coordinate Audits: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring financial controls are effective and audit findings are addressed promptly.
Cost Control & Revenue Management
  • Analyze Revenue Streams: Analyze revenue streams, cost structures, and profit margins across different departments (e.g., rooms, F&B, events) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement Cost Controls: Implement cost-control measures and operational efficiencies without compromising service quality.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with revenue management and operations teams to optimize pricing strategies and improve occupancy rates.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
  • Manage Cash Flow: Manage the organization's cash flow, ensuring liquidity for operational needs while maximizing investment opportunities.
  • Oversee Treasury Functions: Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships, foreign exchange risk management, and debt financing.
  • Monitor Capital Expenditures: Monitor capital expenditures (CAPEX) and ensure projects are within budget and deliver expected returns on investment.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and Mentor: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
  • Provide Training: Provide training and guidance to department heads on financial best practices, budgeting, and cost management.
  • Build Cross-Functional Relationships: Build strong cross-functional relationships with operations, sales, marketing, and HR teams to support business objectives.

Requirements:

Xpedient Services seeks candidates with a minimum of 8-10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the multinational hospitality sector. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required, along with professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or CFA.
