We are the leading company in the rubber manufacturing industry and we are looking to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Account Officer to assist in our financial department.

Job Description:

The Account Officer will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring the organization's accounts are in compliance with relevant regulations. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting activities, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record daily financial transactions and update the general ledger.
  • Process payments, invoices, and receipts.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and financial accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Generate financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Assist in the preparation of documents for audits and tax filings.
  • Maintain organized and secure financial records, both digital and physical.
  • Use accounting software to track and analyze financial data.
  • Respond to queries related to accounts and transactions.
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, and other financial institutions when required.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ICA, ACCA) are a plus.

A minimum of 3-5 years proven experience as an Account Officer, Accountant, or similar role is required. Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting standards is also essential.

Technical Requirements:
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 50, QuickBooks, SAP, or Tally).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
