Job Summary

The Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in expanding the market reach of our plantain chips. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building and maintaining relationships with customers and distributors, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food products, a strong understanding of the agro-industry, and excellent communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and engage potential customers, distributors, and retailers to increase sales of plantain chips.
  2. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  3. Maintain relationships with existing clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  4. Visit retail stores, markets, and other points of sale to promote and distribute our plantain chips.
  5. Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective buyers.
  6. Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
  7. Provide regular sales reports and feedback to management.
  8. Participate in trade shows, food exhibitions, and promotional events to represent the company.
  9. Collaborate with the marketing team to align promotional efforts with sales goals.
  10. Ensure that all sales activities comply with company policies and regulations.

Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Sales Representative or similar role, preferably in the agro or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of the agro-industry and food distribution networks.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  5. Proficient in using CRM software, MS Office, and sales tracking tools.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  7. Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and attend events.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field.
  2. Experience in the food production industry, particularly snack products.
  3. Established network of contacts in the retail and food distribution sector.
