Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating drones for GIS, surveying, and mapping purposes. They will be responsible for capturing high-quality aerial imagery and spatial data, as well as performing regular maintenance and troubleshooting of drone equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate drones to collect high-resolution aerial data and images.
  • Develop and execute flight plans, taking into account site assessments and environmental factors.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot drone equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Process and analyze collected data to generate actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with GIS analysts and other team members to integrate drone-captured data into enterprise systems.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in drone operations, preferably for GIS, surveying, or mapping projects.
  • Certifications: UAV/drone pilot certification (e.g., FAA Part 107 or equivalent).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating various drone platforms and processing data using software such as Pix4D, DJI Terra, or related tools.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Surveying, or a related field is preferred but not required.
