IT Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to oversee and manage the technology infrastructure of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services.

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems.
• Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting issues with computers, software, and peripherals.
• Monitor system performance and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and secure the organization's LAN/WAN, internet, and intranet systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Implement network security measures to protect data and systems.
• Perform regular data backups and ensure data recovery procedures are in place.
• Manage user accounts and permissions to maintain security and access control.
• Implement antivirus and other cybersecurity measures to safeguard IT systems.
• Assist in planning and upgrading IT systems to support business growth.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend suitable solutions to improve efficiency.
• Oversee procurement and inventory of IT hardware and software.
• Install, update, and support business applications and operating systems.
• Train staff on new software and provide ongoing support as needed.
• Customize applications to meet specific business needs when required.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Additionally, 2+ years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar role is necessary. Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and common software applications is also required. Hands-on experience with networking tools and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) is essential. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices is a must. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Workspace is a plus.
